About Ability Orthopedics
Orthotic and Prosthetic devices are prescribed for a variety of purposes. The ultimate goal is to improve the self-reliance, self-esteem, and dignity of the patient as well as to help them better manage their daily activities. At Ability Orthopedics we never lose sight of that ultimate goal. Our patient care guidelines and on-site fabrication laboratory help us ensure that every patient receives the care and attention needed to make a smooth transition to their new life with a prosthetic or orthotic device.
Our facilities are certified by The American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics (ABC). ABC mandates the high quality and patient care standards that our facility must meet to maintain ABC certification. Our practitioners are also certified by the Board for Certification in Pedorthics (BCP) and The American Orthotics & Prosthetics Association (AOPA). The certification process required by these boards involves meeting stringent standards of care and treatment in the following areas of competency:
To acquire these competencies and achieve certification, our practitioners must undergo a process that includes education and experience, as well as demonstration of their skill/competency by examination. In addition, our practitioners are required to maintain a prescribed amount of approved continuing education to maintain their certification and assure continuing competency in the care they provide. Our practitioners provide patients with the quality care they deserve and are focused on quality products and excellent service.
We are honored to offer prosthetic and orthopedic supplies, equipment and services to men and women in uniform.
Our Salisbury office is conveniently located one block from the W.G. Hefner VA Medical Center at 209 Statesville Boulevard.
